4 month post op appt
had my 4 month post op appt with my surgeon yesterday. went well
1st...his scale is a big fat liar! his scale puts me at 242. i like my scale more at 238.
the #'s at his office put me at 24lb lost months in the last 2 months, 86lbs since my 1st vist pre op and 46.5% towards his goal for me.
based on the #'s he said he wouldnt need to see me for 3 more months. he said in 3 months he expects that i will hit the 100lb mark (14 more lbs) by his scale. i smiled and said "oh, i will hit that this month" he said well, even by 3 months that would be good. guess he forgot he was dealing with.
april 29th i WILL hit that 100lbs! p.s. my birthday is the 24th and my goal from way back when was to hit 100 by my scale the so only 4lbs to go for that goal. i only started exercising 2 weeks ago and i figure that is going to help jump start weight loss.
also i fessed up to taking nsaids a couple times to him. i have an extra vertabrae that is not fused and floats in its space so it gets herniated very easily and i get bulging disc constantly. the only way to calm it down is an anti inflammatory. he said i am just fine as i am not abusing it and only take whe needed. that made me very happy.

preop: -21lbs, month 1: -28lbs, month 2: -16lbs, month 3: -18lbs, month 4: -11lbs,
month 5: -11lbs, month 6: -7lbs, ...all the way down. NOTE: after slacking I got back on track in Nov (month 12) and have lost 16lbs so far!
oh, and my personal goal for my next appt with him on 6/28 is to lose 36lbs and be at 70%. I know it is a big # but goals shouldn't be easy right
