Getting anxious

I am scheduled for surgery next Thursday in MX and feel like I want to cancel the surgery. My insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery so my concern is a complication once I get back to the US and lots of possible medical debt in my future. Am I being negative or being a realist? Any words of wisdom for me?Has anybodys ins paid for complications if bariatrics are excluded? Thanks.

My thoughts are... you should have it done in the USA, and then pay the fee for BLISS insurance.  Here in Seattle the cost is $2,200 and this covers any all complications for 18 months after surgery.  This gives you peace of mind.  The sleeve in Seattle at Swedish is $20k, and I think well worth it... it is an investment in our health and life.
