How much does plastics usually cost?

I'm no doubt expecting to need a tummy tuck or something when I lose my weight, so I was curious, how much does all that cost on average out of pocket?  I still haven't had the sleeve done yet, so I'm just getting my research in beforehand.

This is what I found a few months ago.

So, I'm guessing those costs don't include the surge center (or hospital) and anesthesiologist, etc?

I'm quite sure that is just the surgeons fee, nothing else ... correct.

I consulted 2 plastic surgeons, the anesthesia fee and hosp or surgical center fees were around 3,000

Then add in your procedure- Tummy Tuck will run you 4,000 to 7,000. (So the cost final will be 7,000-10,000)

Some docs take Care credit.Its a medical/veterinary/dental credit card.

There are others who go to Mexico- some of the VSG'ers who have gone to MX to have plastics use Dr. Sauceda and have been happy but i cannot vouch for that.

 So, What was worse? The tummy tuck or VSG?? My VSG was soooo very painful and I would be scared to do a Tummy Tuck......

Personally, my VSG was kind of a piece of cake, was shopping at walmart on christmas eve 3 days post op..

So yes, my TT was worse than that but truthfully, there was not an intolerable amount of pain. i had an "on-q" lidocaine drip actually over my stomach muscles internally which must have helped, took my dilaudid and within 2 weeks was ready to go out and party.

My breast surgery was actually worse because there was a heaviness in my chest for a few days after, and soreness. i look at my post op pics and it looks like i got beat up. but again, not all that much pain.

any bit of pain i have ever felt from my vsg and plastics is 10000x worth it. i dont even remember the pain, but every day i am joyous over the results from both procedures.

i always keep in mind, no matter how rough, i WILL get thru it, and thats the light at the end of the tunnel :)

It also depends on how long you are kept in the hospital.  I have had a lower body lift, breast lift, arm lift and thigh lift.   The lower body lift and breast lift required a 2 night stay in the hospital.  The second surgery which was arms and thighs was a one night stay.  It cost my approximately 36k for all of it.  I went to a top notch surgeon in Houston who specializes in post WLS skin.
