My biggest loss, today
I am so sorry for your your loss. Keep doing your best and take care of your self. Force yourself to sip and eat. You will need all of the strength you can grab to get through this week. I understand the devistation you must be feeling. Think of the love and support your dad gave you while he was alive. I can't believe that ends with death. When you need him, know he is right beside you. I know I have turned to food with hard times to bury pain. Let yourself feel your sadness, as hard as it is. Try to turn to your family and friends. Talk about your feelings. Try counseling or a grief support group. Many churches and hospitals offer them. You have more support than you know coming to you now. Sending love and hugs. Kim
Thank you everyone with your kind words.
My main concern is not being able to eat or drink, I am trying to get a few sips of water in but feel like I am going to get sick. This is what I am worried about, I was never an emotional eater. I will travel with my vitamins and bring along my protein powder and hope I can get it into me.

I am very sorry for your loss...I lost my mother December 26, 2010 and I can relate to the hurt and loss that you are experiencing...I still struggle with it every day. Stay strong through this difficult time and do your best to take care of yourself as well...Take each day as it comes some will be worse than others. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you and yours close in thought. One thing I've always been able to tolerate, even when I've been really sick, is plain chicken broth. Ginger is good for an upset tummy too. If you're at a point in your WLS journey that you can eat real food, maybe a bit of toast with butter, cinnamon, and sugar. I know that's not a very "sleeve-ey" thing to eat but a little bit (if it's something you would normally like) may give you the boost you need to get through. Sending you big hugs...
I'm sorry that you have this to deal with in your journey now.
Keep water/protein shakes available and with you at all times and take little sips. Treat it as though you have a stomach bug and must stay hydrated. You'll be amazed how much you can sip down over the course of a day, just a little at a time. Protein shakes make me nauseous, so try some dense protein in little bites spread out over a long time if it upsets you.
