Endoscopy Scheduled

 I am scheduled for my endoscopy this coming Saturday and am terrified that my surgeon will find something that will prevent me from having the surgery. I already know I have a hernia that will be fixed during surgery, but I'm afraid that my GERD will prevent me from getting my sleeve done. I take prevacid on a daily basis and am concerned that the inflamation will be too bad. 

Has anyone ever heard of anyone or been denied themselves for surgery due to results from the endoscopy?

I'm also worried about my GERD preventing me from getting the surgery. Sometimes my PPI doesn't keep symptoms from breaking through. I know I will need another endoscopy after I meet with the surgeon on May 7th. Some people say their GERD gets better after surgery, some say it gets worse. I just don't know what to think....
