Protein supplement poll
2 years out and I still have one every morning----1/2 on the way to the gym or work and the rest mid morning. Not only starts the day with 40g of protein---it also calms my rather acidy stomach even though I still take my daily Nexium.
I don't plan on stopping---perhaps changing up the brand occasionally but still at least 1 each am.

Mostly I usually make my own with good unflavored protein (NOW brand whey isolate) and some natural thickener- glucomannan powder, instant coffee & espresso powders and flavors/sweeteners.. I make it the night before so it's good, cold & thick by morning.. today I had an egg-nog one (same base, but omitted the coffee & used SF syrup).. I've also done peppermint patty made from scratch.. and I do like Syntrax- Matrix line (protein blend) as well as the Nectars (whey only).. Mint Cookie does rock. I plan on using it to make protein ice cream soon, with a titch more peppermint extract added in..
I use Lean Body by Labrada. But you need to know that for its 17 ounces it has 260 cals (high), 8-9 carbs (depending on flavor) for 40g of protein. 260 is pretty high on my max of 800 but I've been using it for a long time and it's my breakfast and am snack. Tastes like melted ice cream to me.
If I know I'm having a higher cal day---a meal out---I'll have an EAS powdered shake for 130 cals but only 23 g of protein. Jus****er, ice, scoop of protein and "orange sunrise" Crystal Lite. Kind of like a weak Tang (but I use allot of water).

Just two months out, but two a day here, too. My new favoriteis mint cookie matrix, but I use click, premier, about time, etc.
seriously, the mint cookie is good, and I am not really a minty chocolate girl. I have one with water before my coffee in the morning, and I am trying to hit 100g since I am weight lifting several times a week
