I absolutely LOVE this scale. Its cheap and has over 3,000 5 stars on amazon! It has not been inaccurate since I got it and is way better then my last one! Good luck.

Is it consistent if you step on it more than once at a time?

My "new" WW scale is better than my old one but it almost never remains consistent when I step on it more than once. It also changes depending on WHERE on it I step.

I'd really like something at least a little more foolproof. :)

Cool. I've been reading some of the reviews and am pretty much convinced that this will be my next scale. Thank you!!!  :)

I did a lot of research on this, and the scale I decided on was a SECA (model 813).   It's always consistent, and measures up with my surgeon's BMI scale.

Just a quick tip for any of the digital scales:  Your scale needs to stay in the exact same FLAT place in order for it to be accurate.  Carpet won't work.  Even the uneveness of my linoleum in the bathroom makes it barely unstable enough to be inaccurate.  Find a good, flat place where there is absolutely no wobble, and leave it there.  Someone even suggested having a piece of plywood cut to put under your scale so it is absolutely level.
