Exercise Question and I Hit the Dreaded Stall

I weigh myself daily, too!  I believe in it.  I believe in knowing the truth whether I want to or not.

My scale only weighs in half-pounds so it's possible that I'm losing a bit on days when it doesn't look like it, but for the most part, this is kind of normal for my body so I'm cool with it.

I hit my 3 week stall.  I woke up had actually went back up a few lbs.  I was sooo angry.   I weighed this morning and the scale is finally moving back down.  It lasted about a week for me.

 Terrible right? It seems physiologically impossible with the calories in/calories out theory. However, it even happens on the Biggest Loser so why should I be different? lol .

Your blog is pretty. It reminds me of IKEA lol. Where in LA are you? I may have asked you that before but could never find the post again.

I adore Ikea.  Just wish I had one closer than Houston.  I live just outside of Baton Rouge.  Eventually going to move away from here.  I love it but I just have too many bad memories being here.

My Dr encouraged walking pretty much right off the bat. I have not been encouraging myself to walk much though! LOL. He told me at my 9 day post op to make sure and get a mile to mile and a half in at least 5 days a week. SO don't stop all together. But remember...that excersise isn't going to do you a whole lot of good if you are pushing so hard you are tired and need a nap. I learned somehwere when you do that you actually burn LESS calories than if you hadn't excersised and just stayed awake and active. Of course....if you are going to take a nap wether you excersise or not then by all means. Walk! lol.

I thought I hit a stall early. I am 2 weeks today, and I had 4-5 days of no loss. Luckliy it was my period. It came a few days early. Usually I gain 5 lbs during my period, so not losing but not gaining turned out to be a blessing! lol. And in that time my clothes all of a sudden showed my weight loss. So if you really are stalled focus on that, it totally kept me happy and focused being able to finally have my clothes agree I was losing!

hey - same surgery date - and same stall date.  what a coincidence !  

I do daily walking on the bike trail for comfortable distances/speed.  But am not cleared for other exercise until sometime after next appointment with surgeon and his team on 6/14/12.

 How long/far are you walking at this point? 

Too funny about the stalls, we'll get through it! Still great progress. 

Oh wow, you do have a lot longer to wait than me. Are you allowed to swim? My surgeon said I could swim as long as my incisions are healed. They weren't last week but are looking good this week. Can't see in my belly button very well though lol

Hey Tiff...I hit the stall too..on friday. :( I actually gained a pound today. Thanks to the board, I expected it..so just working through it. I've been feeling not so good, having trouble taking vitamins, drinking, etc. I've upped my water intake the last few days and feel so much better!

I'm down 25 lbs and 3 weeks out tomorrow. It is amazing so far!!
