Stall (rant)
I am getting at least 64oz water in each day, 70+g protein, and I've been walking (still not cleared for strenuous activity). Actually about to head out to the beach and take a walk there now, walking on the beach definitely gets my heart rate going!
I just hope this stall breaks soon, it is really discouraging. I also don't see any difference in my physical appearance even though I have lost a good amount of weight. I know I should start taking measurements to see if I am losing inches, but am worried that I will be even more discouraged if I'm not losing inches.
I also want to say I would be lost without this forum, all the advice and support has helped me tremendously both pre and post-op! Thank you all for that.
*end rant*

First things first sometimes it can take a while for ourselves to see the difference at 12 weeks post op I uploaded a photo and was amazed when I saw my results as could not see in front of the mirror, this is quite normal it takes the brain longer to catch up to the body.
Second thing, you sound a little negative about being scared to take measurements just do it! you can thank me later down the track, As some stalls can last for up to 8 weeks I heard one lady say she had one, so instead of feeling discouraged if you do have a long stall you will see the difference on the tape measure. so whats best I ask you feeling like **** that you are stalling for say 3 weeks OR stalling but seeing the tape measure going down it can really put these stalls into perspective. You've done really well already so no negativity!!
I took the time yesterday to compare my measurements to pre-surgery and I've lost almost 11 inches in various places.
The weirdest ones to me were 3/4 of an inch around my neck. And 3/4 of an inch from each of my calves!
So I'm just going to keep on trucking I suppose. It has to catch up eventually. We barely eat anything lol
Just don't give in to those feelings. I know how frustrating they can be, but this too shall pass.
One thing I'm learning is that people seem to notice my weight loss more when I'm at the slow/stopped part of my losing pattern for some reason... it's like my body is catching up with the scale, and then once they agree again, I can move forward.
Something else I've learned: when people tell you they can see a difference in this place or that, believe them! They have no reason to make that kind of thing up... lol
