i bought 3 dresses and a skirt!!! NSV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wooooo-hooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is a MAJOR NSV for me! it's probably been 20 years since i wore a dress or skirt for a variety of reasons *** chafing anyone?!??!) mostly because of looking awful! a few weeks ago i tried on a dress from Lands End at Sears. it was sooooooooo pretty. i tried n a regular Misses 12 and it basically fit but . . . and then i went home and ordered a 12 petite and it FIT!!!! This past weekend i went to Macy's and tried on a dress just for the heck of it and it fit!!!! also a straight skirt which i've been eyeing there for about a month. all 12 petite and all on sale. also bought a sundress from the outlet store of Talbots, which i think is just an east coast chain (?) but has sort of classic/WASPy clothes that i love!
so i'm sitting here in my sleeveless pseudo-wrap dress from Macy's wearing sandals with a slight wedge and feeling pretty damn proud of myself. also went through all my clothes yesterday (including the pants from Lands End that i bought in 18, 16, 14, and now 12!) put all the 2-3x and 20 or above clothes in bags to give away, kept 14-18 just in case and now have virtually no clothes!!!
that's what losing 105 lbs will do for you!!!!!!!! gotta love my sleeve!!!

Congratulations! That is an amazing feeling. I, too, love Talbot's. I am scheduled to have my surgery in about three weeks and I tackled the huge task of cleaning out my closets this weekend. I decided to get rid of all winter/fall plus sized clothing as even more of an incentive to lose the weight. Come next winter I'll have to rebuy all of my clothes! I'm so happy for you and even more excited to start my journey now.
I agree with Happy - bring on the pictures! But I really understand your excitement. I have not worn a dress in probably that many years and have eyed some skirts lately, even though I have a ways to go. Sleeveless - don't think I'll ever be able to go there, due to the batwing arms. I am really happy for you. I'm not sure there is anything that makes us feel better than dressing nicely in a way we couldn't before.
Congratualations!
Congratualations!
Dress shopping is a major NSV in my book! Having done the same recently, it was a lot of fun! I haven't worn a dress for a long time too except when I was forced for my sister's wedding a couple years ago. You remind me to go dress shopping again!!! Congrats on your NSV, I've very happy for you!!!

Hey my Twin Surgery Sister!!!
Long time no hear!!! I tripped over your post just now and was happy to see you post a cool NSV!!! You are doing so phenominal!!! I am so proud of you! I agree though...we need pictures!!!
I love love love dresses, too, and they've become my staple wardrobe! At least in the 3 seasons tolerable to wearing dresses here in Minnesota!
I'm in size 8 pants and dresses now, and medium tops. Maintenance is going pretty well , I'm down 122 lbs. So I'm floating between 158 and 160. I'm still doing a lot of volunteer work for the Hospital bariatric program, I really enjoy it...I think it keeps my head in the game and the fat off my butt! :) Summer is busy and we're doing a lot of fun things. I haven't been kayaking yet...but OMG...I'm itching to go...I may try and sneak off this weekend!
Love ya Sis...keep up the awesome work and call me when ya feel like gabbing!!!
