Wow! Tuesday is fast approaching and I've survived 7 days of liquid diet.  Has it been easy?  Heck no!  But, it has been doable. Yesterday was probably most difficult. I am a teacher and it was the last day of school.  I provided a snack for my 2nd graders and can't tell you how many times I almost reached down and picked up a little donut. Really shows how automatic just picking up food because it is there is for me. Last night I dreamed I ate a half of a hotdog-all the way-before I realized I wasn't suppose to eat it. So glad that was only a dream and it is so funny now. I thought once I got my kiddos gone from school I'd have time to be nervous, but no so far.  I'm just ready for LIFE on the other side.  I'm sure I will worry some Monday night because it is a major surgery after all. Prayers for those going Monday and I'll see you on the loser's bench!

You can do it!  Your day will be here before you know it.  I had mine yesterday morning and am feeling great this morning.  As for the pro-op diet, I also had to do it for 2 LLLOOOONNNNNG weeks, but it was so worth it.  My doctor was able to make only four cuts, not five, and did not have to use a liver retractor.  I am assuming this has helped with the pain too- you know, just a little less invasive. Well, time for me to go and walk the halls..

Best of luck to you.  I had my surgery Monday 6/4 and am on the road to recovery and weight loss.  Not thrilled about liguid diet, but managing!  I understand what you are saying about the temptation to just pick up food.  I am home with my 19 year old son and when he cooks breakfast or dinner, it's a bit tough for me to not eat with him.  Stay strong because it is all worth it in the end.

Thanks to you both. Yes Karebear I understand about others eating.  I've got 3 adults home with me, hubby-who also needs to lose weight and my son and daughter, 22 and 25 (Will they every leave home, lol)  They have been kind and trying to eat out most of the time (which we always did anyway) and not tempting me.  It is still hard. Hope you continue to feel well!

I'm drinking a lot of Atkins ready to drink.  I have some Visalus powder mix, but it isn't very high in protein so I only use it once a day, I have some GNC Lean Chocolate powder (it is my least fav) and I had samples of unjury unflavored and Chicken soup.  I LOVE the unjury chicken soup and it is my daily evening treat.  I just ordered more off Ebay and got it today.  Glad it is here for my 3 days before.
