I just finished ordering all my protein drinks for my Pre WLS diet. I have been searching for quite some time on the one I wanted to get. These prices are CrAzY!!!! I started to just the the GNC brand of lean body RTD shakes, but from the website they wanted $48. for a 12 pack, with a deal of buy 1 get 1 50% off. so after choosing the amount I would need the ending price was like $168.00, and this is with the discount.... Screw that! So I went to amazon and just bought 48 bottles of Labrada lean body shakes, chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream and cookies n cream. Final price for the same **** on amazon $143.72.

This is some expensive **** oh well guess I better get used to it. Besides for my diet I can only have 3- 17oz Labrada drinks a day plus a gallon of water daily. I'm going to call and ask if I can add some unjury chicken soup, or sf ff jello too.

Ok, i'll shut up now, not venting, just conversating :)

Can you use this? I didn't break your prices down but I've been ording these for a long time. It was the cheapest at one time. I usually buy 3 cases at a time for $99

Lean Body by Labrada---17 oz in the cardboard container (260 cals, 40 protein and 8-9 carbs)

12 for $33 and free shipping from the Vitamin Shoppe

See this:   http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/search/controller?N=0&Ntk=SiteS earch&Ntt=labrada%20lean%20body&Nty=1&D=labrada%20lean%20bod y&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dx=mode+matchall

There are cheaper powdered drinks if you're doing several a day. You could do one RTD and the rest powdered?

If you don't mind protein powder, Wal-Mart sells Body Fortress Whey Protein power in a variety of flavors. Comes in a big tub for $14.97. I prefer to blend my shakes so I can add sugar free flavors or PB2.

I like the body fortress from walmart, 14.98 for 2 pounds. My favorite is the cookies and cream.

Yes, also wondering if there is some reason you don't use powder?   I buy RTD shakes once in a while but mostly use Syntrax for my protein smoothies.  Making your own tastes much better too.

Thanks for your replies. I havent tried the wal mart cookies n cream yet, but I have tried the chocolate peanut butter and its pretty good. I figured if I got bored with the labrada I would do a little body fortress change up!!!

Thanks :)

I like the premier from Costco or Sams or online... they advertise at the bottom of the page... they are 23 for 18 shakes and are delicious.  Costco just had $5 off also.

The lean shakes are by far the best tasting protien.  My hubby and I just went yesterday and bought 6 of the 4 packs and bought a gold card too.  All together it was just over $50.  I promise they are well worth the money for the taste.  We are going to start trying to buy them at the first of the month when they do 20% off with your gold card.  Also, a tip I found out from someone on here, the exact same shake is marketed to body builders.  I forget the name, but it's in a red bottle instead of the white ones, sometimes they are buy 1 get 1 half off when the lean shakes aren't.

Another brand I recommend is the EAS Carbcontrol AdvantEDGE shakes.  You can get a case at Sam's for about $28.  They are 100 to 110 calories and 17g protein.

Don't stock up on too much now because your taste may change post op.  Before I hated peanut butter, I could never understand how people could just put a spoon in the jar and eat it, sometimes if my hubby would eat a reese's cup in the car it would almost make me gag, but now, I can't get enough of the stuff!  Also, hubby would NEVER touch sushi, and we have been eating it like crazy lately!

And hey, look at it this way, at least you're only buying for one, we had to do everything double since we had VSG the same day!  :)

GOOD LUCK!

I've been using Unjury flavors (comes to around 1.35 per serving) and the Premiere premix shakes for work and traveling  (comes to around 1.59 per serving) and order both of these online. Of course those prices were without shipping which I think was around 6.00 for two of the Unjury tubs and around 20 bucks for two of the 18 packs of Premiere shakes, about a week delivery. Haven't tried the Walmart powder but may try it next. But like these two brands so far. Didn't care much for the syntrax flavors except the chocolate out of the samples I got. Good luck!
