Surgery on Wednesday... Soooooooooooo, what's everyone having for their "last supper", pre-op? I had grilled salmon, grilled summer squash, grilled jalapeno peppers and grilled red onions.

I only had to do a liquid diet the day before so two days before I enjoyed my "last supper' at Olive Garden.  I know I will be able to eat it again (not nearly as much) but pasta just sounded like a good meal 2 days before.  And I enjoyed my last beer that night as well.

I have to be on that pre-op diet for TWO WEEKs before surgery, so my "last meal" will have to be before that.  I'm thinking Indian food.

I was on a Optifast 800 protein shake/bar diet and had my weigh in the day before surgery.  Since I was already weighed and lost more than enough weight I decided to treat myself to a "last supper".

I am originally from Rochester, NY and have visited the Anchor Bar in Buffalo ... the creator of the Buffalo style chicken wings.  So the night before I was staying at the Hilton Garden and it was a Wednesday night.  It just so happened that the American Grill located in the Hilton Garden had 50 cent wings.  They also happen to use a Texas Pete Buffalo Sauce.

I ordered 10 (their minimum order) with blue cheese and celery.  After finishing the 10 I was thinking I could easily stop and be OK but they were so good.  I explained I was having surgery the next day and I couldn't possibly eat 10 more and asked if they would throw me an exception and do a half order of 5.  They went for it.

So my last supper was these wonderfully cooked and flavored meaty chicken wings ... 15 of them with the blue cheese and celery.  They were spot on.
