I also like the Rocky Road by the same company, they are not super sweet, especially once you add the coffee (really cuts the sweetness).

Things like that have happened to me before too.  And some of it rather scary!  So I bought an Oster Beehive.  Basic, trustworthy, Ol' Reliable...
Hope you find a machine that never does that again :)
