Euphoria

I realize this could be in part due to the fact that I've been off my meds for depression for a week, and my period is winding down, but HOLY COW! I'd love to give the world a Coke and a hug!

I am feeling almost manically great. I'm sure this too shall pass, but who else has had this and are there studies about the link between manic/depression and the ghrelin loss?

I'm all for better living through pharmaceuticals so I'm going to try my meds again tonight, but WOW! I am happpppyy!

I realize this is not my business, so feel free to tell me so... But, any reason for stopping the meds? Cold turkey or did you ween yourself down?

Reason I ask is because I live a better life through pharmaceuticals as well. And I know that if I'm detoxing from a med, the end of the detox brings a euphoric type relief as my body is no longer in withdrawal.

I was home from the hospital last Tuesday and I think I tried my first dose post-op on maybe Thursday. It got stuck. It was HORRIBLE. I was in so much pain and discomfort my husband thought he'd need to take me to the hospital. Althought it was probably a hideously horrible idea just a few days after surgery, I chugged some water and made myself barf. I"ve been afraid to try again.

I think tonight what I'll do is cru**** and try it in some juice a little earlier than bedtime.

I'm on a comparatively low dose (100mg) but I'm now also haveing really vivid and distressing dreams so I really do need to get back on the monkey.

If you're cleared for mushy/puréed try it in a spoonful of sugar free pudding. If not the juice might be your best bet, just stay away from any acidic juice.

I had horrifying dreams after nasal surgery. My mom read that the anesthesia could cause that. The nightmares lasted about a month, but finally went away.

I don't know about your meds, but some Rx cannot be crushed due to time release. Be sure to read about it before you try it. Want you to be safe and WELL!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.  It's time to try something new!

I'm feeling great mentally at 2 months out.  I am off 2 of my 3 depression/anxeity medications.  I still take one daily.

LOL I tried crushing a pill to help get it down .....omg that didn't work.  I tried to mix it with sugar free pudding.  Yeah nope it all wanted to come right back up.

This is one area I am definately concerned about. Right now I have my own little pharmacy of meds I take, hoping after sugery many of those can be discontinued but for those I still will need to take...... just how do I do it.

I'm going to try crushing it tonight. I think once it gets down there it should be okay. If not, I have an appt. with my doctor tomorrow and see if he has any ideas.
