Wedding band ideas?

So, as of late my wedding ring and engagement ring have been a bit too loose for comfort. I got married at my highest weight. I had started wearing the wedding and engagement ring on a chain... until someone pointed out to me that wasn't a very good idea.
I often am working in areas of the city that aren't the best, crime wise. It would be pretty easy for someone to just come up to me and rip the chain right off.
So, I've been leaving the rings at home, but I would really like to find some way of wearing them. Any ideas would be appreciated

Ask a jeweler about a ring guard. Once you reach goal then you can have them resized.

I'm just going wear a cheap band until I get to goal. Then I'll have them resized. I tried a guard years ago but I found it uncomfortable and was still scared all the time that i was going to lose it. But its a great option if you really want to keep wearing your rings.

I just took mine in to get them resized.  It really is not very expensive- $30.  I say just resize it!

Back in high school, we wrapped yarn around boys' class rings to make them fit.  It's a short-term solution that gets the ring back on your finger, and it's much more comfortable than a ring guard.

Ask the jeweler about putting French balls on your ring. Not uncomfy and not expensive. Then when u reach goal you can have them resized the real way.

On my way down I bought ridiculous costume jewlery, stuff that was over the top and fun to wear LOL I do the same thing when we go on vacation, I buy a cheapy so I can look married without worrying about losing my ring in the ocean or down a hotel shower drain.

Please DO take some kind of precaution!  I lost my beloved wedding set because even though I knew the band was loose, I stubbornly kept on wearing it.  My jeweler said a ring guard wouldn't work on my wide band set and I could have sent it out to have the balls welded in, but I didn't want to part with the ring for the week turnaround time....stupid, stupid, stupid!  One day, it was gone and now I'm broken hearted.  That's been the only negative thing to have happened to me post-surgery.  My hubby went to Tiffany & Co. and bought me a replacement band, but it's not the same.  I would definitely put your rings in a safe place and buy a temporary band or cubic zirconia bling ring to have fun with.

I purchased a "ring snuggie" at Walmart...a bunch of different sizes in a small box was $3 or so.  Perfect, keeps everything in place (I use mine for both ering and wed band) and a cheap solution until I'm finished losing and decide to resize.

Thank you all so much for your responses, such great ideas! I'll look into the ring guards and such, and I also like the costume jewelry idea!
I don't want to have them re sized yet because I've heard resizing too many times is bad for the metal, plus there's a nice inscription in there that I don't want to ruin.
Thanks everybody!!
