Triggeriness and cravings...
I'm having a tough triggery day, too. I ate watermelon and greek yogurt for breakfast, and cantalope and cottage cheese for lunch. Luckily the fruit is gone now. I wanted to keep eating more, but didn't. However, the worst part was that the food didn't stick with me. I started wanting to eat again way too soon.
I finally ate a piece of ham so I'd have something dense in my stomach.
Fruit is good for me! I shouldn't have to fight cravings for fruit!

But I DO. So I WILL.
Fight on!

I don't really have great strength. I have (sometimes) enough patience to sit quietly and accept the discomfort that comes from having a craving without acting on it. A wise person told me once that compulsive overeaters were more willing to accept the pain that comes from eating compulsively than the discomfort that happens when we don't. It's one of those things I try to hold on to - momentary discomfort is preferable to longer-lasting pain. Yikes! Here's to us!!
Good for you for not giving in. You are doing so well. I am terrified to try protein bars for that reason. I know Atkins bars for me before were like candy and I could eat 3 of them at a time. So for now I am sticking to the sometimes/most times yukky taste of protein powders. Just can't seem to find one that does not leave me with an after taste. The only way I get them down is by using the magic bullet and mixing them with a bit of water and ice cubes, if it is really cold it does not taste as bad. Also my sleeve seems to like water really icy cold so I partially freeze my water in bottles now, just adding ice cubes does not seem enough. Strange little thing that Carlie is
