Today I am going to the store to buy last minute things since my surgery is in 4 days! Ideas would be really appreciated on all non-food items that I will or might need in the hospital and for when I go home. I already have all my liquids and food items covered. Thanks. Gabbz

Well I am 2 weeks post op today.  I took a pair of pjs that I didnt wear cuz of the IV but I did take a dress to wear home since I had a 1.5 hour drive I didnt want to feel pressure from pants...but take something loose cuz you wont want a bra on for several days.  I took makeup and such but didnt use them!  Good luck, I thought it was a breeze and so far still think that!

I was actually just thinking about that. I have a cute black casual cotton dress that I love wearing when I want to be comfortable. My fave! Thank you

Toothbrush, toothpaste, something to wash your face (cleanser, soap, whatever).

Something to wear when you are walking in the hospital.  (Robe.)

Something for your feet when you're walking in the hospital.

I wore the same thing home that I wore to the hospital--loose and easy.

Actually, you may not need a robe.  I had a robe when I got my hysterectomy.  It was winter and cold and I had a fleece robe I took with me.  But with my sleeve, they just put a second hospital gown on me--one opened in front and one in back so I was all covered.

I brought the clothes on my back and my purse, which I stuck in my hospital bag and didn't see again until I left.

You will feel like crap - the last thing you want to do is remember Kindles and make-up bags and stuff.

Think.... mumu. Really loose yoga pants. I skipped the bra on the way out.

I can tell you what I took and you can consider that list of what NOT to take

You WILL NOT need:
Kindle
iPod
laptop
crossword puzzles

As anyone *****ad my hospital post surgery postings can attest - I should not have been allowed to use any technical equpment LOL - I was feeling fantastic though a bit loopy.  I slept, drank and walked until it was time to leave.  Time will fly!
