Colon Cleansing??? WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

 I'm just 1 more day away from my surgery, and NO ONE told me that I was going to have to do a colon cleansing the night before! I would love to look at my doc and say, "WHERE IN THIS PROCESS WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME?!?!?!"  

In case you didn't figure, I'm not a fan of this. TERRIFIED of drinking that awful stuff and seriously afraid it will jack me up! *Sigh* Only one time....right???

Have you had abdominal surgery before?  If not, constipation can be a huge issue.  You want to be nice and cleaned out so you don't have to worry about it the first week!

Sucks for a night, but trust me, its well worth it!

 Of my many surgeries in my life, I have only had an ablation and tubal ligation on my abdomen. All other surgeries have been orthopedic, and I have had some nasty constipation from some of those. I am pretty excited about the surgery (IF i can get past tomorrow night)!!!

Oh ya, the pain pills can do it with the ortho surgeries, but with abdominal it can hurt to pu**** out... lol  So then ya can get backed up even more.

I've had two csections and a hysterectomy.  I told my hubby I had a baby out my butt, gross, but true!  Hurt worse then the csections!  I promised I would never go through that again.  So with this surgery I asked for the cleanse!

You will do great, is it mag citrate?

 I haven't gotten it yet. I think it is a mag citrate. I'm going to pick it up on my way home from work. Sounds like I'll be thankful for the last minute stressor. LOL

Mag citrate is the best of all the options!  It taste like a really lemony 7up...

 My doctor didn't tell me anything about colon cleansing.  This is the first I've heard of it.  Is it something VSGers are commonly instructed to do?

 Apparently it is. A co-worker tried to warn me, but I didn't fully believe her. We have the same surgeon, so looks like it's a fun night ahead of me tomorrow!!!
