Two Weeks Out

Two weeks ago today, my world changed forever. The last two weeks have been a bit of a challenge and struggle, BUT each day has been easier than the day before. I'm finally able to get all my fluids and protein in a day. Just have to make sure I do it! My fiance told his parents this weekend when they asked if I wanted a drink that I am always drinking. It's true. I have to have something to drink all day long or I'm dying by the end of the day. LOL

I'm looking forward to getting back into mushy foods. I have had a bit of a stall on the scale the last few days, but I'm okay with that. I'm down a total of 20lbs since I started my journey in April, and I'm perfectly happy with that. I feel so much better than I did three weeks ago. I really do enjoy life again!

I have my first post op appointment tomorrow and can't wait to get on their scale. Last time I weighed at the doc's I was 174. I'm now 159 according to my scale. :) I go back to work next week and really can't wait. I know things are just going to continue to get better. :)

Yay! Good for you! I'm your sleeve sister in a way - mine was done on the 5th, so I am two weeks out too. I see my surgeon for two week followup tomorrow.

It has been so hard at times! My head just can't wrap around the fact that I CAN"T EAT. I swear this is a tool that has been so helpful so far, but still a tool. I'm also drinking all the time. I was getting worried that I wasn't getting enough because I wasn't peeing enough, but in the last two days that has been better and I feel more normal.

I was also stuck at a stall, but yesterday I did a ton of walking and the scale literally went from 287 to 284 overnight! I keep checking and so far still the same! I haven't been under 300lbs for about 4 years. It's amazing to me. But when I look in the mirror I don't see the changes yet. I keep wondering when I will.

Things are definately getting better! Keep rocking that sleeve!

I agree with you. Sounds like I'm about on the same way with you. I know that if I were to walk more it would definitely come off faster. I go back to work next week and plan on starting a routine of everything. It will help me stay on the course. :)
