pre-op NSV, clothes

Well, I have lost 23 pounds so far since beginning the required classes at Kaiser. So, I have spent the last couple of weekends purging my closet of clothes I don't intend to fit in again. There isn't much in the closet that fits anymore. Because of this, my work clothes options are limited, but not planning on buying clothes until I'm post-op. I'm thinking thrift stores for when I am shrinking more quickly. Speaking of work clothes, I discovered that my slip was way to big when I wore a dress to work on Thursday. I had to pin it up to my bra. It kept falling down. I couldn't have it fall off, so I'm glad I had safety pins. I did stop at a thrift store, found another in a smaller size.

 Thrift stores are awesome!  I have just found that you have to be careful sometimes.  I bought a pair of nice pants there - for $8 or $9; the next day I went to TJ Maxx or Ross (can't remember which one) but then they had a lot of clearance pants for like $5-$6.  lol  You just have to shop around, and there you go!

Maybe our next meetup we should also do a clothing exchange.  Or one of the next lol.

 I'm right in the middle of my journey to goal, so I feel like I'm "renting" my clothes 

Just took a big bag of clothes to the thrift store and brought home enough of the next size to last a few weeks, then I'll repeat the process. 

Gurl, I already know you are going to be just as successful as Mike because you show such great committment. Congrats on your NSV!!!

 I've found that right now is a great time to shop because lots of stores have all of their clearance an additional 40-70 % off of their lowest price :) I like shopping at Ross and Target. Target has a lot of clothes coupons online. Thrift shops are also a place that I like to go.

Great work so far on your weight loss! Keep it up!
