I am still awaiting my surgery date but I pray that I lose 1/2 lb per day after surgery.  It has been 52 days since your surgery and you've lost 25 lbs.  I'd love those results.

Thank you for the positive note.  I hadn't thought of it like that.

Not sure why yor upset... I lost 36lbs pre-op and 16 lbs post op and I had surgery 2 weeks after you and I had 7lbs of fluid put on me at the hosp. Ppl drop their pounds at different rates... I'm not upset that I haven't lost more... As long as I'm sticking to the program and dropping the pounds and not gaining I'm fine

If you follow your plan it will work!!

I have some serious hormone issues and I'm sure that's why I'm a "slow" loser.  The scale hasnt' budged for me in a couple of weeks but I'm not  phased.  Why?  Because for me now it has nothing to do with that number.  I know the past couple of weeks I've lost more inches because my clothes are falling off again.

You haven't been duped you just have to give your body time.  Follow your plan!!

I've had a few moments where I broke down a bit but I feel great now.  I know why I did this and I know it's working.  It didn't take me 3 months to gain this weight and I shouldn't expect it to only take 3 months to come off.  You are doing great!!!

You have 3.5 lbs average a week since surgery? 12.5 average a month?

In what effed up world is that bad?

I get that you lost a fair amount of weight before surgery (you didn't say how long it took you to lose the 36 lbs), but you aren't giving your body a chance to heal before you pull out an unrealistic whip and start beating it. Geez, you're not even 2 months out from surgery.

I've lost 54 lbs in 9.5 months. That equates to about 5-6 lbs a month, about 1.5-2 lbs a week.

Am I getting screwed by my body? No.

I'm only getting screwed by my brain thinking that amount of weight loss isn't somehow good enough. But, I don't let myself think that way. Neither should you.

This isn't a sprint. You will get there.

Any loss is great no matter how big or how small.  Try to focus on what you have lost and not on the numbers.

Stay positive!

25 lbs in 7 weeks ... how is that a bad thing? did you want to lose a hundred? I dont get it... what is the expectation here. How many times did you lose that much in so short a time? Everybody is different... dont compare yourself to others... do what your plan is, and dont let the negativity stuff bring you down. ...

I am 5 months out and have lost 54 pounds since surgery... so I could be considered a slow loser. (Lost 10 on pre op, 4 before that.) HOWEVER, the changes I have seen in my body, my energy, the weekly NSVs, the amazing drop in clothing sizes... believe me, it IS NOT about that number on the scale. I still have 60-70 pounds left to lose, but if I never lose another pound, I will not complain because I have my life back. Hang in there and follow your plan- it WILL happen!

i had surgery on June 14th and I've only lost around 15lbs since surgery. However I had a leak and had to be on TPN for 2 1/2 weeks. It had 3000 calories a day so during that I did not lose. Since then I've only lost about 6 lbs and it's been almost 3 weeks. I have PCOS as well and have always struggled losing weight. I feel I lose slower than most people and I get frustrated, but I'm thankful atleast to be losing. I wi**** was faster, but it's not. I wish I could wake up and be thing, but I knew that going into this I would have to work at it.
