Angry and disappointed

You had surgery 2 days before me. I am down 22 pounds since surgery. I had 2 stalls already. I am learning quickly not to take orders from the scale. While I was going through the stalls, I still lost fat. We need to make sure we are getting in enough protein, enough water (more than the 64 ounce minimum is great), and some form of exercise. As long as you follow the plan, it will continue to come off. When I lost weight previously (years ago before gaining it back) I initially lost weight faster than I am now. I am not freaking out though, the way I see it, is that the sleeve is more useful at keeping us at our goal weight when we get there, than the actual losing weight part. Yes it will provide us the opportunity to lose the weight, but what matters more is keeping it off. I lost, and then re-gained 150 pounds. I've been reading everyone else's experiences and feel totally at ease. Read more about other's experiences, and you will find you are certainly not alone, and things are not going poorly at all. As far as getting screwed by my body - I have 4 herniated discs which makes exercise painful, and I may need neck surgery (but I'll wait til I'm at least a year post-op from the sleeve to go through that). You need to read, read, read. The more you take in, the more you will learn to accept the process of this journey. You are doing fantastic; you need to take a step back, relax, and keep following your plan.

I had surgery the week b4 u and have lost about the same amt post surgery.  I too have PCOS /hypothyroid...so get your feeling of "slow losing"... But I am still pleased. My total wt loss is close to 50 w/ pre and post op. It has been a long time that I was able to make it past 1 wk of dieting. Honestly there were days prior that I didn't even make it past lunch when my resolve was so strong in the AM :-) So the fact that I'm still on plan / working out and moving toward a healthier me is MILES ahead of where I was b4 I decided on VSG.

I'd love a magical cure and wake up 2mrw @ goal :-) I can dream! But love the fact that my body is changing w/ each pound lost. My skin is moving w/ me so far.. ( and @ my age that is a GREAT THING -- older person here).

Find the NSV's and find the joy in your journey. I am sure there are lots of positives. Perception is key!
