Acid Reflux?

I woke up this morning feeling like I was drowning in burning liquid in mystomach and throat!  I have been taking prevacid daily since surgery for mild reflux but have never experienced anything like this before! 

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had the same thing happen Sat morning. I ate too close to bedtime and woke up choking on acid. I was diagnosed w reflux during pre-op testing but never had symptoms. I'm on protonix daily. From now in I have to make sure I keep my pillows elevated and not eat 2 hr before bedtime.

I so fill your pain. My doc changed my acid blocker and I do much better. I was even doubled up on it to make sure because that burning throat thing stinks! As the previous poster said make sure to elevate your upper part of your body. This has helped me. Good luck!!!

 I don't typically eat after 7pm which is why I was so surprised but I did have some tomato marinara sauce for dinner and maybe that triggered the reflux?
