Two Month Surgiversary And Very Happy!
VSG on 06/28/12
Hi Everyone
Two months ago -- can't believe how fast the time flew by! My recovery was easy and staying on plan has been easy. I know that probably won't last, but for now, no issues with any of that. I treat Myrtle with a LOT of respect and she has rewarded me with no problems.......no foamies, no distress, and no urping up anything. If I get a little rambunctious and eat too fast, she makes me get the hiccups as a warning. I'm lucky!
I'm also lucky that I didn't get the dreaded 3 week stall. Instead, I have been in what I'm calling a quasi-stall for 4 weeks. Those first 26 pounds came off like lightning. These last 11 pounds have taken 4 weeks. I won't complain, though. Staying on plan and diligently logging everything I consume is keeping me accountable and I know that even if I end up being a slow loser (which it looks like I'm going to be), it's better than not losing all. I am grateful.
I took a page from so many here and measured myself the day before surgery, measured again at one month out and I measured again yesterday. First month gave me a loss of 28 inches..............this month brought me another 10 inches. I am grateful.
Since my surgery, my Type II Diabetes is in full remission, my cholesterol is not longer an issue. Best of all, my Chronic Kidney Disease has improved dramatically such that I've moved from Stage III up to Stage II which is significant. I feel it is a miracle in many ways as at one point, it was doubtful I'd reach my happy age of 65! I am grateful.
As some of you know, I have no support here at home. However, so many of you have been very kind and supportive here...........and encouraged me to join MyFitnessPal -- between the two sites, I am never at a loss for help and encouragement...........and let me not forget all the wisdom so many have shared. I am grateful.
So, today I celebrate 37 pounds lost and 28 inches gone. Other than one pill a day for GERD, I am meds free. It's been a great two months! I wish for everyone this wonderful feeling of having a chance for a new life, a healthier life.
I love my sleeve.............and so far, I'm loving this ride toward the me I am meant to be
I am GRATEFUL

Thank you so much Jenn. I'm rockin' away LOL
I have looked at your pix and see an "itty bitty" who is stormin' about 10 pounds. WHERE are you going to lose another 10 pounds? Do you have fat earlobes we can't see? LOL Seriously, you are a great inspiration!
Hugs for your kind words

In two decades I've lost a total of 789 pounds. I should be hanging from a charm bracelet. Erma Bombeck
