Shower from hell
So i was sleeved 9/4 and everything has been going well, ive been pacing myself getting in more liquid and protein each day 48oz of liquid today and 50g of protein. I know that things take time and im not going nuts because i cant get to the 64oz/70g goal, i know ill eventually there. Sooooo day of surgery i was 299.6, today i am 286.0, yay! (my roommate is gonna hide the scale from me soon, its an obsession lol). Ok so everything is going great pain is resolving, im walking everyday and feeling pretty good.........but then i took a shower today as i do everyday ofcourse, my usual steamy hot relax all the muscles in your body shower. Next thing i know im halfway on my bed breathing hard and dizzy. I overheated in the shower and fainted trying to get to my bed, it was the scariest thing ever. It happened so quick i couldnt get to my bedroom quick enough. Blahhhhhhhhhh does this mean no steamy hot showers for a while???? :( i know worse things can happen but jebus i love hot showers lol. I guess this is my rant of day lol.

After both my surgeries (appendix and then gall bladder), I had the same thing happen in the shower while I was still healing. I have no idea why, and it has happened a handful of times since. It starts out where you start to feel nausaus and then you get all weak and ready to faint. When it first happened to me, I was maybe a week out of surgery?
Now, if I start to feel nausaus, I just turn the heat down to a cool temp and then gtfo! lol
That has been my experience, and it sure hasn't stopped my super hot showers! Be careful, congrats on the weight loss, and good luck with everything!

It's funny you say this cause I'm preop but find that since I've been obese I can't tolerate being in a hot tub or jacusie without being lightheaded and dizzy. So I go in and than 2 minutes later I get out. My BP is normal. I wonder if this is a hormonal thing. I think after surgery hormones change. Also in my cause I had rapid weight gain which I'm sure affected my homrones. Men never seem to have this problem unless BP is high.
