Wowza...soooooooo I missed all the fun again. Damn it.

I work overnights so I'm always here in the middle of the night by myself and sleeping during the day while you guys are partying! Waaaahhhhh! Poor me...

Anyway - God I love you people. Can I just say how many of these posts made me laugh so hard the protein coffee almost came out my nose! Unicorn poop. Omg. I love you nutty peeps!!!

Also, thanks for all the words of encouragement and for all the "me too" responses. It is so important to know we are not alone.

I won't respond person by person because I'm sure everyone is already over it - but I did want to respond to just a few things...

1. Jason (Sleevicial Maniac) - Thank you for chiming in. I read the original "Oops" thread as it was just starting out and I just wanted to say, I don't think you were out of line to post it. I don't think you were even wrong for choosing the gummy bears. Like you pointed out, even "healthy" things like a protein shake can have more carbs if you grab the wrong kind. So you know, it was the "Popo" thread that had me unsettled. I felt it crossed over into malicious territory and I know people were hurt by it. But even in the original "Oops" thread, I noted that you thanked Rob for his opinion even though you didn't agree. That is exactly what should happen..."Thank you for checking, but I'm good." then we all move on.

I appreciate Rob's (among other's) willingness to ask the hard questions and I just fear that rants like "Popo" are going to deter people from being brave enough to ask the tough questions in the future. Sometimes a gummy bear IS just a gummy bear. Sometimes a Buster Bar is just a Buster Bar...but sometimes it isn't, so it's important that we have people willing to go to work asking the tough questions.

So that is why it had me bothered. Anyway, I'm seriously glad you are here. I'm seriously glad you are doing so well and I SERIOUSLY wish I could be a part of "Tuna Tuesdays!" I think you absolutely will be an inspiration to many here and I'm sure I'll need that shoulder to cry on at some point. Thank you for offering it!

2. SleeveGirl...omg. I am so sorry. I have no idea what this Lisa J. person said - but it was clearly out of line and I was glad to see so many jump to your defense. I hate that you got attacked. I thank you for being here and for sharing your journey and for taking the time to encourage so many. I hope you'll stick around. You have done a PHENOMENAL job and you are looking amaaaaazing! I've got nothing but admiration for you and your voice is an important one on these boards, so be back soon.

3. Rob - I think it's pretty clear you're my OH crush.  Haha! I need your brand of tough love and your posts have helped shape my journey in so many ways. I'm wishing you lots of luck and a speedy recovery with your plastics coming up.

I was glad to see that some healing could come out of this thread.

I think we can officially declare the "Great Gummy Bear War of 2012" hereby ended.

A truce has been called.

A new battle cry agreed upon:

"US AGAINST THE DISEASE!"

Man..... what fatiguing weekend on OH !!!!!

Before responding to your post...... I had to find out what this "Buster Bar" you speak of is........My mind went some where else........

Ahhh.... I see.....I may have to try one..... more like take JennChap to get one...... I'll have 1 or 6 bites and she can down the rest..... I'm an A$$ that way !!!

I enjoyed your post...... you write well !!!!

You are very well informed/studied and are way way more knowledgeable about this process than I ever was at your stage.

I want to encourage you to do the best you can to lose the weight and get to goal....... This next 6 months for you is going to be a little tougher..... WL slows a bit for just about everybody, but it still can be very good if you keep it tight. I lost 100lbs. the first 6 months and 75lbs. the second 6 months but I did keep it pretty tight the second 6 months because I knew it was going to be tougher and I still had a lot of weight to lose.

Once you settle into maintenance and really find your balance and tolerances...... life is pretty good!

You have isolated and defined your issues...... that's way ahead of the game..... and you know what to work on......

Since you remembered......... "Moderation is the most Dangerous Word in weight control"

Great Post !

Awww, shucks Frisco...thanks for taking the time to write this for me.

"I want to encourage you to do the best you can to lose the weight and get to goal."

I want you to know I will carry this statement with me for the rest of my journey.

I've lost and regained so many times and I know one "trap" for me is stopping right under 200lbs. Around 190-ish I start to "look good" and " feel normal" and people start to tell me how pretty I am for "your size" ya know? This has been a trap in the past. I don't want to stop until I am at a healthy BMI for the first time in my adult life.

I'm trying to mentally prepare for the next 96lbs. Already the loss is slowing a bit and it plays with your mind. I'm trying to keep my head in the game as much as possible, so I can't tell you how encouraging this was for me. THANK YOU!

"Get to goal."

Amen.
