Pred is notorious for not only stopping your loss, but causing regain. As far as I'm concerned, if you managed not to pack on pounds while on pred, you're ahead of the game. For the future, just stick with the plan your doc gave you. Patience is hard, but necessary in this game.

Even with setbacks and limitations, you are still doing very well. You are a human not a weight loss machine. It is not 30 pounds per month until goal.  It comes off as it comes off. It is supposed to slow down as you get further out.  Your calorie deficit goes down as you lose weight- meaning that it takes fewer calories to survive when you weigh less.  As you gain mobility, you will burn more calories.  You can look up chair exercises online and see if any are appropriate for you.

You need to decide that you will focus on what you have direct control over- food, activity.  Do your part and be compliant.  Get sleep and reduce stress. Choose to appreciate your progress and be honest with yourself about your effort.
