New non-scale victories this weekend...
ONE: In some photos that were taken this weekend, I was horrified to look and see, of all things....WRINKLES!!!! I never had those before!! My fat fluffed my face and kept me looking young...I look like the Crypt-Keeper now....YIKES...I'll take it, I suppose!!
TWO: How many of us have gone into fitting rooms only to find that you can no longer fit into that 22. You can't even get them all the way up your thighs. You cry in frustration, throw them down and walk out of the dressing room without any new clothes and a bruised ego. MOST of us have done it.
In May, the pants I was wearing were a 26 from Lane Bryant. Nice expensive dress pants. Well, since I have been losing weight I have been buying stretchy black pants to grow "down" with me. Last pair was an 18/20. I knew it was an illusion because they were stretchy.
So this weekend I needed brown/khaki's for my part time job. Only one pair of khaki's in the whole store in 22. I picked them up and found some brown in 20's (largest size on the rack). I figured I would try it out, and not get frustrated if they didn't work YET.
The 22's slid straight on up and buttoned with ease and were BAGGY!! I went down to the 20's just right, still a little baggy...I had to go down to the 18's...and they are not stretchy pants!! I had a a meltdown right there in the fitting room. But this was a different kind of meltdown than I have ever had before. Plus I got good deals. I spent $72 on over $300 worth of SIZE 18 pants in Lane Bryant, y'all!! Woo Hoo!!
I'll take it!! Keep the NSV's coming!!
