I did full liquids for 7 days. Once you get past the 3rd or 4th day it's much easier. Don't cheat and remind yourself why you are doing this!

Congratulations !!!  This is what I did on my 2 week pre-op diet.. I could only have 1000 calories a day.. I had to have 2 protein shakes a day and 1 sensible meal.. I could not go over 1000 calories.. So I had my 2 protein shakes a day I made mine with Skim Milk and used Body Fortress Whey Protein Powder, I got the Vanilla.. Then I could change up my flavors in my shakes.. I did a SF chocolate syrup one, I added Crystal Light to change up flavors, I did frozen Strawberries only 3, etc.. you get the picuture, I was never bored with just plain vanilla.. For my Meal I did alot of Salads with grilled chicken on it.. I did Stir-Fry with just the meat and vegetables, no rice or noodles.. I had a 4oz Sirlion Steak with Shrimp and small baked potato with Laughing Cow Cheese on it, no butter or sour cream, I did Turkey Tenderloins with Vegetables..Things like that.. Just limit your carbs and fats and you do just fine... I always did my shakes for breakfast and dinner, and then I ate a late lunch.. I also exercised in the pool (water areobics) 5 days a week.. I lost 11 pounds on the 2 week pre-op diet.. and I was never really hungry...If I needed a light snack at night.. then I would eat a small apple... Very easy to follow... just make sure you get your 2 protein shakes in a day.. I did about 68 grams of protein in the shakes alone with the powder and skim milk.. that will keep you full and no bread and no chips or desserts.. You can do this !!!  Good Luck.. If I can help out with anything else..Send me a message and I will try to do my best to help you out.. and drink lots of Water.. No Sodas..

Oh.. and one more thing.. I joined MFP ( my fitness pal ) which is a free site to log in all your food and exercise for the day.. That is very important to help keep you on the right track.. You need to do some type of Food Journaling so you know where you are at for the day..

My pre-op was about the same-- very low fat, very low carb. I treasured the fact I actually got to eat when so many others have to do liquids! I did lots of salads with meat and stir fries (no rice). Both are easy to fix and can be changed quite a bit by using different combinations of ingreients. Drink tons of water- it really helps those first few pounds come off. Knowing that you're so close to surgery should help you stay on track too... you'll be amazed at how fast you lose those 15 pounds!
