14 months out, and sometimes I still don't get it and realize that I am always a work in...
Fantastic post! I do the same on occasion-not as much as when I was newly sleeved, but it does happen sometimes! And just like you, I end up with a ton of left overs!
We're all works in progress. It's great that people like you are willing to post about the reality of living with our sleeves. It's not always f'ing rainbows and lollipops! Can you tell? I'm not having a rainbow day?! Ha!

I laughed as soon as I read what you ordered. Yep, I knew where you were going. I recently ordered an 8 oz filet mignon (their petite filet- the smallest steak at the restaurant). I ate some bread that came to the table before the steak arrived. I contemplated ordering a slab of bacon (yep, that was on the menu as an appetizer). I talked myself out of it. We discussed ordering macaroni and cheese but didn't.
I ate maybe 3 ounces of steak and 2 tsp of mashed potatoes. Buffets and fancy steak dinners are certainly a waste of money now. But sometimes the company is worth it.
Obviously our eyes are waaaay bigger than our stomachs. And I am soooo grateful for that.
Another great lesson is that you didn't make yourself sick. You stopped! You stopped! Yay for that!
Happy Anniversary.
