Your first drink

When did you have yours? Not that I want to go out and get wasted, but I'd, love a glass if wine. I think my Nut said atleast 6 months, but that seems to soon?

I had a glass of wine and a few sips of a martini just shy of 4 weeks post op. Nothing special to report, didn't burn or make me sick. I didn't get super buzzed as some people report either.

Ooo 1 Month, that's crazy! LoL I was worried about my first cup of coffee!

I had my first drink six weeks out. I paid the consequences on the scale though. Not my best day, but I didn't get drunk or anything which was great. I don't plan on splurging with a glass of wine again anytime soon.

I hear ya! I haven't had a drink since May 3rd, I love this plum wine, would love to have just a glass.

I am 3 months post-op and have not had any alcohol since surgery, but I was never much of a drinker before surgery. Alcohol never did much for me anyway except make me stupid and sleepy. I plan to continue to avoid alcohol. I have also had others in my family who have issues with alcohol. I have experienced that pain caused by someone who has issues with alcohol. I never want to go there!

ok seriously,, at almost 5 months out.. still have not tried any yet and im in no hurry to

maybe at Christmas time, a glass of wine.

Confession I had my first ****tail @ 6 weeks out and it was horrible. I got dumping syndrome and was in the bathroom forever then had to go home. I didn't get to visit with my friends and had to explain what was going on.

I have had a couple of drinks in the past month and a half and I don't know if its worth it. I get that warm fuzzy for about 10 minutes the boof gone. I think I'll stick to being the DD and save my calories and money.

o wow, you weren't worried at 6 weeks? that seems too early! I keep seeing that people dont get drunk for very long which is good, but I don't want to get drunk, I just love my plum wine, lol

I had a shot of patron around 4 months out.  It was great.  Made my tummy burn, but I went from 0-60 in a few minutes.  My buzz lasted for about 10 minutes then left just as quickly as it arrived.
