Has anyone tried a colon cleanse since having VSG? I used to drink it in some juice regularly before I had surgery. Given my issues lately regarding, eh hem, not getting enough fiber, I feel like this would be helpful but I am not sure if it will expand or if the husks will get caught in the staple line, etc. I think it will be fine, but just want to see if anyone here has tried it.

If you're early on in you're healing i don't know if it's a good idea.  I think the husks have at least the potential to get stuck in the staple line.

My instructions told me to use a fiber supplement that dissolved more completely like benefiber.  Very easy to drink with your fluids.  For a while I was doing a One-Two punch of Benefiber in the morning and Miralax at night.  Both dissolve completely and seem pretty tasteless.  Best of all they do the job.
