3 weeks until my surgery!

I finally got a surgery date! I've yet to post on this website, but have been reading all the posts. I'm excited as well as nervous! I'm going to try to keep posting. Alot of awesome stories on here! God Bless :)

Yes. I had my surgery on Oct 22. so I'm 3 weeks out. I love my sleeve. I'm not hungry at all. The recovery was fairly easy. Was just sore for a little over a week.

Congrads! I'm hoping to get my date this week. I don't want to go through another holiday season feeling like this! I'm a bit nervous, but so excited! :-)

I feel your pain with the holiday season! :) I hope you get your surgery soon. How long has it taken you to get to this point?

I started looking into it hard last August and went to a intro session. I did my 6 months SWL plan last year, so... I was already ahead on that. It had taken the 'normal' run for the insurance to except it. I'm really happy that it is moving along so well.  Which considering my insurance, is amazing. My husband and I are unemployed and are on the state's insurance. I'm so happy that they are approving this. I couldn't' have it without it!

My Mom had a RNY 10 years ago and has several bad symptoms. So, I've kind of been putting it off as much as I kind, but I'm getting nowhere without it. She has major problems with dumping.... so embarrassing. So, when I found out that there is different surgeries now.. I'm excited about it now!! 

Congrats to u!! Can u tell me the time frame of when u began this journey til u now getting a date??

I started pursuing the surgery at the end of September 2012. I had already done the 6 month weight loss program with a physician, so that was out of the way. I checked into it 2 years ago, but got scared and said no. And well....here I am now. The wait is awful especially if you are impatient like me. ha! Now I complete the pre op testing next week and if everything looks good, then its a go on December 5th. Are you looking into surgery?

Congrats!! I'm 2 weeks away, so we'll be losing together!
