A Different Kind of NSV

Well, at 6 weeks out from surgery, I'm feeling well and making good progress. With 28 lbs gone, my knees have almost forgiven me and I'm sleeping so much better too. I've also started to work my way through the closet full of beautiful clothes that I haven't been able to wear for quite some time, so there is lots to be grateful for, that's for sure!

But I'm saving the best for last. My 30 year old daughter, who has been morbidly obese for most of her life, has been so encouraged by my journey that she has decided to proceed with wls herself. That is pure joy. The tears well up every time I think of how she will get a chance to have the life she has always deserved. As I think of the possibilities for her (most of which I don't think she can even imagine for herself) I'm filled with hope and gratitude.

Blessings to all of you, as we continue to be role models for each other as well as for those who matter to us most in this world.
