Why has it been so easy to fall back into old habits. It's Like in more comfortable in my skin and in letting things go. Ugh... What's wrong with me??

The mirror crack'd from side to side,
"My curse has come upon me" cried,
The Lady of Shallott!

Alfred Lord Tennyson

If it feels good, do it!  And if it smells good, eat it!

Well, in Tennyson's poem, the curse refers to menstruation, but here it may be just a playful way to refer to your curse of falling back into bad habits.

but on a related note, does your TOM bring up old cravings? That can be a tough time, food wise.

Ughhh, I hang my head as I write this but I stopped tracking what I was eating for about 2 weeks.  I am still way to early out (I'll probably always have to track my intake actually) I haven't gained but I haven't been seeing the loss that I was getting before.  Sometimes the hardest person to answer to is ourselves.  We judge ourselves because we slip into old habits if we aren't careful.  Its time to put ur teeny tiny violin away, pull up your big girl panties and face your demons! :D  None of us got here because we were perfect, we had issues and got fat.  Make sure you are tracking food and liquids.  Check your emotional triggers.  Go back to basics and be really hard on yourself.  I have seen too many people get lazy and gain 10 lbs only to see that turn into 20lb.  I'm not sure what bad habits are resurfacing but as Barney says on the Andy Griffith show, "You gotta nip that in the bud!"  LOL, Good luck and make sure to check in here, it helps to have support from people who have succeeded and people who have slipped.  Good luck Jewel and hang in there, this is but a moment in time and this too shall pass! :)

I think we will all go through a phase were we say "Ah darn I am sick and tired of this diet". I remember I had it a few times before when I was on different diets and so why should it be different now.

However, we have great tools now and support and buddies we can count on to help us through. My NUT says, don't beat yourself up when you do slip because you will correct the situation and be back on track in no time.

It is easy to fall back in to bad habits because we know them so well and they are so familiar, but just stop and breath and say to yourself "I CAN DO THIS" and get back on that treadmill and just keep on walking.

Good luck Hon.

Hugs,

Rita

Thank you everyone for the clarification and the support. Your right it is easy to feel sorry for ourselves. I tell my students everyday stop making excuses and do something about it. Guess I need to practice what I preach.
