Whoo hoo! Finally approved

It took weeks for my insurance approval. Everyone says BCBS of Ca is fast but it took over 3 weeks. I just got the call and surgery is on 12/17. I'm so excited!

I'm going to try to make the support group tomorrow.  Hopefully we'll get a consistent group in my area as getting to San Jose after work is really hard.  I think it took 1:45 hrs last time.

Congratulations!! I just was approved in the last 2 months. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I cried when the nurse from my insurance called and told me. I wish you the best of luck. What an exciting time.

Congratulations!  I have my final nutritionists visit tomorrow and will be in the waiting game after that.  Hopefully I can have a date in 2012, but we'll see!

Did everyone else get scheduled that quickly after their acceptance came through?  Seems so quick (one week from approval notice) Just curious!

I told my surgeon's office that I wanted to have surgery on 12/17.  They penciled me in for that day and just needed insurance approval and then payment of my portion to hold it.  I had all my tests scheduled for this week.  Now that I think of it, it was kind of a law of attraction thing.  I chose the 17th for surgery and everything fell into place.
