NSV: jean shopping in my own closet!

I started being able to wear my pre-pregnancy jeans last week, and they are too big now and I'm wandering around with saggy bottom further accentuating my rather sad, flat bottom.  I was thinking I might have to go out and find a pair of cheap jeans to hold me over until the 10-20 pounds I need to lose until I could fit in my next favorite pair of jeans BUT I found a few pairs of random jeans my mom must have brought over and 2 pairs fit.  They are size 14s!  I have gone from a size 20 to a size 14 since the end of September...and it's the holiday season.  Yay!  Yay!  Yay!  Merry Christmas to me!

I'm really looking forward to shopping in my attic!  That's where my my 6s and 8s are.  Best feeling :)

That's fantastic!!!  I had a variety of jeans in a drawer that I gave away immediately after Katrina because I didn't think I'd ever fit in any of them again.  I'm glad I was wrong!

I've had to buy jeans all along because of that, but I'm coping. In fact, I'm loving it! I'm getting close to tens which blows my mind. But it also varies from one manufacturer and style to the next.

Congrats on your major changes! Isn't it wonderful?

It is wonderful!  I think the best thing about today is wrapping up all the candy I made yesterday and not having any desire to eat it.  Not even a taste.  I'm just relying on my hubby to let me know if it's actually good.  That probably won't last, but it's AMAZING.

YES.  You are so smart. It's easy to stay strong as long as you STAY STRONG.

Sometimes I let myself have just a taste, and suddenly I'm fighting the urge to eat more where before I had no urge.

Good for you!

I can't do it.  I have major sugar issues.  I had some apple pie on Thanksgiving like a moron, just three bites of a slice I split with my hubby, and I felt terrible afterwards.  Even while feeling terrible, I still wanted MORE.  I keep that in mind when the scent of toasted coconut meets my nose and I start sallivating ;)

I'm glad you found the strength to stop eating it because sometimes even when it's bothering me, I find myself still nibbling.
