Just wondering what your post op diets were like. I'm two days out and am required a 3 week clear liquid diet. I just feel that's a little long. Don't want to break my doctors orders, but I'd like too know if I've got reason to speak up if i don't think I'm getting enough nutrients.
Please and thanks!

Does your diet include protein shakes?  If not, then it doesn't make sense.

No, no protein shakes. I'm fine with a week, of clear liquids, but not A full three. It's a bit much of not a lot.

I'm 5 days post op and have a 3 week clear diet. Plus bariatric advantage meal replacement protein shakes. I'm already getting bored with it. I've been zesting up the broth. I added bell peppers to it and strained them out. Made it taste like chicken tortilla soup. Couple other things I've been doing to spice it up. But I feel hungry and like i want to eat. I just have to be patient. Good luck.

I'm 2 days post op and I am on a clear liquid diet for the first week and then full liquids for the next 2 weeks. Clear liquid means anything you can see through, plus clear protein shakes. The namesclear protein shakes of the are in my booklet, but I know isopure is one of them. I'm supposed to drink 1/4 cup of the protein every hour, and I also have chicken broth, water, sugar free popsicles, jello, dilluted sugar free juices, sugar free ices. Next week I can start my thicker Bariatric Advantage thicker protein shakes in place of the Isopure.

My question is, when do I start the chewable vitamins?

As we all know, ever situation is different. I am almost 2 weeks out and I'm on Stage 3 pureed foods. At this point, I am still trying to get all of my protein shakes down. That has been the hardest part so far. The shake I was drinking pre-op does not taste the same. I can barely stomach it. but this is so much easier than eating anything.

If you have question, I would for sure talk with your doctor or NUT...
