post op diet
Please and thanks!
Are you sure there's no protein shakes a lot in the liquid diet? It doesn't make sense. I would ask.

I'm 2 days post op and I am on a clear liquid diet for the first week and then full liquids for the next 2 weeks. Clear liquid means anything you can see through, plus clear protein shakes. The namesclear protein shakes of the are in my booklet, but I know isopure is one of them. I'm supposed to drink 1/4 cup of the protein every hour, and I also have chicken broth, water, sugar free popsicles, jello, dilluted sugar free juices, sugar free ices. Next week I can start my thicker Bariatric Advantage thicker protein shakes in place of the Isopure.
My question is, when do I start the chewable vitamins?
Rick
As we all know, ever situation is different. I am almost 2 weeks out and I'm on Stage 3 pureed foods. At this point, I am still trying to get all of my protein shakes down. That has been the hardest part so far. The shake I was drinking pre-op does not taste the same. I can barely stomach it. but this is so much easier than eating anything.
If you have question, I would for sure talk with your doctor or NUT...
