Introduction
I do have one question they have told me I would be on liquids for 6 weeks 2weeks of clear and then 4 of full. Has anyone else had to be on them for so long? I hope to get to know all of you and may be help someone else out along the way.
Post op plans vary quite a bit. Yours is a bit more on the cautious side, but then again they are only looking out for your health! I was 1 day clear in the hospital, they wanted me to eat yogurt before leaving to make sure I could do it. Full liquids for 2 weeks, 2 weeks pureed, 2 weeks soft. No nuts and such for I think it was 2 or 3 months.
You will appreciate your plan, as it will naturally keep your calories down more and likely lead to great overall weight loss. Don't rush your plan, it is there to help you!

it is different from the plan that I was required to follow, but I see no hard in it as it is more protective of you. I had to do two weeks of full liquids and then two weeks of mushies. (soft food). The truth is that for the first six weeks most of my nutrition and protein came from protein shakes anyway. I was only eating about 1/4 cup of food per meal three times a day. I am glad to hear that you have an experienced surgeon. That is a real big deal. Congratulations and welcome
