Am I wrong for showing off my success??
Wow! That is RIDICULOUS!!! Sounds like she has a bad case of LOOOOW self-esteem, and can't be happy for you. That's sad, but no reason for you to change anything!
It's unfortunate when others can't be happy and supportive. Perhaps you want to share with your brother that you wish they could both be happier for you and understand how much work this was and be proud of you instead of hating on you.
I follow your advise, I txt her and I said "I just wanted to know if you want to get together this weekend, sappy chick movie marathon at my house. I refused to take a no for an answer, if you do, I am showing up to your house with a box of DVD's. LOL"
She just txt me back and told me that she was thinking of staying home doing nothing so movie marathon sounds good, she said that she will come over. I txt back "Good, I need some girl time with my favorite sister in law" I hope she does, she did this to me before and never show up.
Sometimes a little act of caring and kindness speaks volumes.
In closing...you deserve every wonderful feeling about your accomplishments.
