I've thought seriously of getting a tattoo with my highest weight (303) in it somehow.  I don't have any tattoos currently, so this would be very significant.

You are truly inspirational! I have no doubt you will continue to be super successful in ALL that you set your mind to. Your Grandfather was a very smart man. Congratulations to you and your family. Your future is looking great.angry

I'm not sure I'm the type that needs reminding... maybe the opposite.... I think the pain of being morbidly obese will be in my memory for quite some time...

I agree. I'm keeping my biggest pair of fat pants around for comparison, but I would like to have my record expunged.

This.  Exactly.

Every time I walk down the hall to my classroom, I still have people commenting on how different I look.  Every time I get on facebook, I have plenty of pictures from before surgery if I do feel I need a reminder.  But mostly, I want to put that part of my life behind me and move forward in health and happiness.  I have all kinds of great goals to meet now that I would not have considered before surgery, and if I keep dwelling on the past, I'll never get there.

I do see that sometimes I may need to remind myself of where I came from in hopes of motivating myself to not backtrack, but otherwise I just want to move forward.
