I think the honeymoon is over

I know what you mean but for me, it was a good thing. I struggle so much with having an appetite for anything that the return of my hunger actually gave me a slight appetite. Now I have adjusted and eat more frequently, even though my sleeve works excellently and I can only eat a few bites or so.

It's funny; I was doing all the things we are told to do--take your acid reducer, drink more water, chew gum, etc. When none of that worked I discovered that it was simply my stomach acid needing me to EAT SOMETHING! After that, we have made peace with one another and it is all good! It is amazing the different phases you go through and changes that must be made when you have a lot of weight to lose.

I get physical signs of hunger too Keith. Have done from about 3 months. It's not mental at all and I don't go "I must eat now". But I get like a wave through my tummy (like the expression "lost my stomach" on a ride, or going over a steep bump in a car too quickly).

I only tend to get it when I actually haven't eaten for 5 hours or so, so I probably am actually in need of some food and my body is letting me know.

It goes away as soon as I eat my 3 bites though. Love that!

I don't think this is anything to get upset about.  Our bodies are SUPPOSED to give us hunger signs and now we have the tools and lessons to eat/do the right thing instead of gorge on a bag of potato chips.  I've felt hunger quite often in the past two months.  I just eat my snack or small meal and move on...I usually get the hunger pangs at the right times anyway.  I often get SUPER hungry after work outs (I do cardio kickboxing so I'm burning like 800 calories per class) especially if I didn't eat a protein filled snack before the work out.

I think the honeymoon ends when we really start to struggle with food choices and trying to not gain weight.  I know it's going to happen at some point down the road where I won't be able to have a bad day because I WILL gain the weight back.  We just have to the make the best of our first year.  I've found myself sometimes eating larger portions when I shouldn't be.  Nothing crazy but like now I can eat probably around 4-5 ounces of dense protein IF I don't eat anything else with it.  I think that's a lot but as long as I'm not eating crap I think it's ok.

Anyway, hang in there buddy.  You're doing awesome and don't let this little bump in the road mess you up!  You got this!

band to sleeve revision and loving life!

You do you, and I'll do me
