I got on the scale yesterday and clocked in at 262.4. I had a good day yesterday eating wise and got some exercise. I drank lots of water yesterday, everything going good. I had a great week of weight loss too. Today the scale was 263.7. How can I have gone up a pound and a half after having a good day. The only thing I can think of is that I must have been dehydrated when I weighed in. I am not a happy camper today.

I'm going thru the SAME thing. I'm pushing the fluids but it sucks to see the number go up when we are working so hard!

There is no rhyme or reason, while I know that's not what you want to hear, but I have also heard that when we exercise and muscle gets broken down that it will absorb the water and hold onto so the scale goes up.

I don't weigh myself daily. It would drive me insane. You could be holding onto water as well.

Don't beat yourself up!!

Been there, done that too. I think you are right about the state of dehydration especially if like me you weigh first thing in morning after going to the bathroom. I have weighed at 5 am, gone to bathroom to pee, awakened at 730 am and pee and weigh again to joyfully find I am 1.2 lb lighter than I was at 5am.  The following day after a great food, exercise and water day, I can find that I weigh 0.5 lb to 1 lb more again.

Oh God Keith, I had the same thing happen to me this morning, only I was up 3lbs from yesterday.  I didn't get all my water in yesterday, and I actually didn't eat much at all, and I didn't have any dense protein, so I'm guessing this is the issue, we'll see in the morning.  I was NOT happy this morning, it's the first time it's happened, that I have gone up, and I nearly cried.  Hang in there, let's see what tomorrow brings for us both.

I weighed yesterday morning & then again after my afternoon nap. I was over a pound lighter in the afternoon. This morning it was up but just a little. I think it has a lot to do with nothing. Or sodium. Either way, if you're eating correctly, it doesn't matter. Since this is how you'll eat for life you will eventually get there. Right?

Keith, I do that ALL the time. It still puts me in a bad mood although I know what will happen in the end of the week, a loss overall. I was 174.7 yesterday and 175.1 today. I know that if I keep on keeping on, I may be down to 173 tomorrow! Keep your head up!
