Little sis is a physician specializing in diabetes (she became a type 1 in med school).  She says it is extremely important to realize this is a remission no matter what our doctors say.  Yes, it may last the rest of your life, but it is important to insist your doctor include the labs for diabetes when you have others drawn, so that if the diabetes does return you can jump on it and avoid further damage to your body.

That said CONGRATULATIONS!
