Day 5 preop diet and mani/pedi!

I woke up super early today because my son had to be at LAX practice by 8.  We are babysitting our 2 granddaughters today, so I wanted to exercise and get a mani/pedi before we picked them up.  Instead of going to the gym, I did a Comcast on Demand kickboxing 42 minute workout (it is GOOD...I was sweating!).  Got my mani/pedi and I wound up telling the girl who did them what surgery I am having.  I find myself telling more people than I thought I would (I'm trying not to be a boring, self-absorbed person lol, just when it comes up in conversation!).  She was very sweet and we talked about it for a few hours.  She wants me to come back after surgery so she can "see the results" lol!

Hubby and I brought the 2 girls and my stepdaughter and grandson bowling...what a trip!  The 2-year-old is non-stop and really funny.  We went to the diner after....oh, my!  Within 1/2 hour one had spilled an entire glass of apple juice, one had a bomb out poopie diaper & hubby brought her into the mens room to change her (he is a good pop pop...I brought the low maintenance 4 year old into the women's room where she can go on the toilet thank God!) and one had gotten about 3 cups of cut up chicken all over the floor...I'm pretty sure we are never going back to that diner again!  But they're the grandkids...what are you going to do!  I apologized to everyone and left a big tip!

I had a yummy turkey burger on a whole grain roll and a side salad instead of fries.  I feel really good right now; of course I am getting hungry, but I feel in control.  I know this is just 2 weeks of this kind of depravation without the surgery to help the hunger issue.  I can do 2 weeks.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday!  Shout out to all the other pre-opers....we can do this!

I've found myself telling more people than I ever thought I would.. (though I haven't brought myself to tell my dad yet, better get that done in the next 2 days).  I"m on my 6th day pre-op, honestly today might be the hardest just because I've been bored and I have always had a problem with eating while bored, but have pulled through the day ok.  I wish I had time to get a pedi before my surgery, but don't see it in my future, maybe soon after :)  Surgery Tuesday and I'm super excited.
