An Ode to my Straw

You and I have been together for many years

we enjoyed long rides with coffee 

we loved our evening ginger ale

we got through long days at work with water

your long and bendy neck made me feel like a child

you came in so many colors and shapes

we may never meet again 

but you were loved

be well

I use a straw everyday...no problems.  

You will do fne tomorrow. I still use a straw to get in all my waters. Tomorrow I will be 1 year post op. Let us know how you are and we will save a seat on the losers bench for you.

I love my straws as well. I've used a straw daily for over 5 years. I hope the day comes after surgery when I can return to my straw. Nice poem!!!

You'll get your straw back eventually.  I accidentally sipped with one after a few months and found I was fine.  

Lol. Love this! You will be able to use a straw again. I use one every morning when I drink my yummy coffee chocolate truffle protein drink. You will be in my thoughts and I will pray for a speedy recovery. See you soon on the losers bench buddy ��
