This just goes to show you that not matter how long you have been doing this, if you don't stick to the script its easy to screw up.

I am not sure what happened to my plan today. The filet's I bought are still sitting in the fridge.

I tried a new mongolian stir fry place for lunch and I had a bite more than I should have and I was uncomfortable for a couple hours. Then tonight at dinner my wife wife and I got our runs in later than we really wanted and she didn't want me to cook so we went to a new place near by. I usually do well at restaurants gauging the amounts, but today I was off. Now I am uncomfortable again.

I guess I got a little complacent and ****y, nothing like 1/10th of my stomach to let me know who's really the boss.

No excuses, all my own fault.

Just goes to show you that no matter how well you think you have this stuff down, there is no freestylin'!

Worse for me is that when that happens now, all I can think is "man some day this great regulator will be gone. I hope I have my ish together enough by then."

Pain is a great reminder
I've been fighting a bag of M&M'S and peanuts this week.
My restriction seems to change daily.
You know what to do! You got this.

It must be the change of seasons because I've had two bad days in a row.  I guess I will have to lock myself in the closet.   Went to Applebee's .  Had the garlic sirloin sounded really good.  The steak had so much fat I know I did not get enough protein out of it.  It was terrible.  $35 down the tube for no enjoyment.    This is the second time we had a bad meal there.  I know we will not be going there again.   Then we went to movie and DH got buttered popcorn, he was still hungry because of the no good food, and naturally I had to dig in too.   To top it off the movie was lousy.   Should of stayed home.  Would have saved me a lot of calories.

I usually try and under eat my sleeve, but once in awhile, I do the same thing, usually when going out to eat.  Still want to get my money's worth.  Crazy head of mine.  But what is weird, that feeling, even though very painful, has a weird nostalgic thing that goes with it.  Remember grazing until you were going to burst?  That is the same feeling I get. when I overeat my sleeve.  Somehow, even with the pain, it takes me to a place of feeling, well, FULL.  And sad to say, I still like that feeling sometimes, even when it hurts.  Crazy right?  But these are the things we need to re-teach ourselves.  I tell myself when I under eat:  Wow, I feel great, have energy and my pants are still zipped.  I try and reinforce the good behaviors and learn to love them.  Otherwise, my old natural self will crave that FULL feeling, despite the pain.  We are all works in progress and the learning curve is different for us all, that is for sure.

“Not many of us are living at our best.  We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains.  The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills.  We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence.  What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb.  What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.?  JRM
