Surprising Amount of Hunger Today
I have a lot more hunger today/tonight than I have in a very long time. I am relatively certain it is due to the amount of exercise I've had this week. Between Thurs and Fri I spent 5 hours in the gym and about an hour and a half running. I have a fitness freak friend working out with me and we are doing squats, shuttle runs, and burpees among other things. I am sore as hell today. Worse than anytime since I started working out. I have managed to keep it under control. A little over today but nothing crazy.
So, I would say your body is saying "whoa buddy, what are you doing to me"?
I have a question for you though. Did you ever get a lot more energy after losing weight, or are you getting energy from working out?
Im dying here. No energy at all. Getting testing done to check things. I am losing weight ok, kinda stalling at the moment, but Ive lost 80ish since 1/10. Im not complaining. But honestly cant imaging trying to work out. Any clue? Suggestions?
Keep on kickin ass on your journey, youre doin great!

It kind of goes hand in hand. Working out gives you energy, after the muscle pain subsides you kinda want to do it again. I also take A LOT of supplements so I am not sure if my energy level is from the supplements or vice versa. I do know the more I work out and run, the more I want to. You sort of have to power through the no energy thing. The more weight I lose the more energy I have that is for sure, but I have also lately introduced more "slow" carbs and by slow carbs I mean carbs that take longer to digest so your blood sugar doesn't spike. These are things like steal cut whole oats and brown rice. If I am pre-work out I might eat a peice of fruit, so that even though I am getting sugars, they are burned up and then some during my workout.
This is totally normal, increased cardio esp will increase appetite.. which unless meticulously tracked/resisting some serious hunger-pangs tends to equal a balance or tipping the other way in eating. For many, taking cardio to the extreme tends to have the hamster on a wheel effect.. running for hours, but not getting any body-comp benefits and for many, breaking down muscle too- leading to a lowered metabolism and the skinny-fat runner issue.. add to that the injury issues that hit often.. be aware of your body signals and back off on chronic cardio if you find yourself showing any signs of over-training.
It's a YMMV thing, but for me - a couple very short duration HIIT sessions and a short duration heavy lifting session once in a while in addition to not being a sitter and doing a lot of strolling/walking in between keeps me building muscle w/o the tiredness/hunger/injury issues I used to get trying to do cardio 3-5days a week! I don't spend a lot of time working out at all, but my body burns a hell of a lot of cals just doing this..
Oh my!!
I agree with the "in the air " theory!!! ( I know that's not really true though...)
I was RAVENOUS yesterday!! A bit better today...but I chewed the inside of my mouth...drank hot tea ( black)...and white knuckled myself thru the whole day!! Sooooooooo strange to read here on OH!!!
Made it though!!! Whew!!
