I made some yogurt-filled strawberries, and I'm going to dance class tonight (waltz and swing).  Should be fun!

  

Starting weight: 260; Surgery Weight: 250; Month 1: -15.6; Month 2: -11.8; Month 3: -11.4;  Month 4: -7.4  Month 5: -8.6; Month 6: -3; Month 7 -3.8; Month 8 -7; Month 9: stall; Month 10: -4.4; Month 11: - 2.6; Month 12:-3.4

Dancing is great exercise! I keep forgetting about the yogurt filled strawberries. Great combination of fresh fruit and protein.

Great thread, Keith!

I was up at 6:00 and walked for 30 minutes. I went out again at 10:15 and did a 20 min walk with Mom. Feeling good 7 days post-op!!

That's fantastic. I think the biggest bump in the road for newbies is they think because they are healing they don't need to get up and move and walking is something you do a couple hours after surgery. Exercise now while you are still super calorie restricted will amp up your metabolism and make your weight loss in the next couple of months much higher than it would be if you were sitting on the couch waiting for x number of weeks.

Started liver shrink today. Day 1. Had protein shake, now working on my water intake....14 days til surgery!

Congrats and good luck. This first phase is the toughest. After surgery you won't really care because you won't be hungry, but right now, especially today is the toughest.
